NFA control over machineguns is almost over?  Thank United States vs. Morgan and subscribe to this gentleman to help support his excellent work.

Once that law changes, I WILL PROBABLY NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH DEMAND.

AK-47 / AK-74 / Galil Class II Conversion Jig for full auto

Arguments for citizens to legally own machineguns.

This complete AK 47 jig assembly is designed specifically for the semi-auto AK 47, Galil, as well as the AK 74 assault rifles to be converted by the Class II manufacturers to select-fire typically by the Type 07 FFL/Class 2 SOT’s.  This unit accurately locates the (2) drill-in points for the forward auto-sear to fit into the semi-auto frame along with the additional safety selector detent dimples for the Yugo, the standard as well as the Saiga variant plus an internal modification template for the opening of right side rail for the auto sear/bolt interface.  The entire completion process may be easily done without making any measurements with only a drill and a Dremel in less than an hour.  A patent has been applied for (patent pending).

From the photos included, a unique approach was done to facilitate the drilling portion via the trigger opening.  This design locks the jig in place for proper alignment of the exterior receiver holes and all 3 safety stop detents for full auto.  The two different sized bushings are installed for proper auto sear pin diameter holes on either side.  To make the modification to the right rail, a separate alignment jig is used, attaching inside the magazine well of both the 47 as well as the 74.  The left side of this jig has been made oversized to accomodate the side mounted scope/accessory rail.  A full and complete set of instructions with color 3D CAD drawings are included for the ease of completion. Instructions are attached to the email when the USPS tracking number is sent.

This jig along with all of the others that I design, manufacture, and sell, was “over-engineered” for those who value their time and money.  Since I have attempted to foresee and surmount any and all possible errors which could happen during your construction(s), the possibility of your making mistakes approaches zero.

Nothing is more disappointing than a mishap that requires a replacement receiver.  Not only is there a monetary loss, but there is also the frustration factor due to the lost time in the work thus far, perhaps a broken tool or fixture, then there is the wait involved for the replacements to arrive from the other supplier via shipping.  Now what should have been reasonably fun has become work.  Those frustrations only follow my competitors’ sales and not my clients.

If in doubt about the quality of my entire jig lineup, read the remaining comments from the deleted YouTube video from this Reddit link about the AK PRO jig kit

I also welcome design requests and if possible will accommodate those in future product revisions.  Few other sellers will boast of that.

Galil conversion ONLY

With regards to the Galil conversion, there are a couple more steps involved.  You must create an enhanced autosear slot as well as mill out the right inner sidewall below the autosear slot so that it is ‘thinner’ to accomodate the autosear itself.  The safety hole on the left side needs to be enlarged for a ‘ring’ to fit……look at all of the photos below:

Detail of autosear slot and autosear ‘relief’ milled into right inner wall

Safety hole will need to be enlarged in the select-fire version of the Galil (above photo).  A select fire version is below, so be certain of the parts that you have prior to final drilling:

The AK trigger insert is NOT used in the Galil because of linearity issues.  Instead to keep proper pin alignment, you thread the assembly bolt thru the magazine well autosear locator where is says “Galil alignment hole”.

To make an 80% receiver into either a semi or a select-fire the Galil PRO is the jig kit that you need:

Jig/template assemblies and supporting parts of the jigs in the photos are included, however (trigger groups or trigger boxes and/or trigger pack assemblies, firearms, receivers, parts, tools, milling bits, and/or drill bits are not included).

With the recent “legalization” of the Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs/Super safety), it has now become essentially impossible to hear the difference between it’s slightly slower rate of fire when compared to a true AK-47.

It is also imperative to realize that the FRT has had a little history of out-of-battery ignitions since it focuses exclusively on resetting the trigger rather than the autosear holding the hammer’s release until the round is fully chambered.  In other words, autosears won’t let go of the hammer until the bolt is fully locked in battery.

Out-of-battery ignitions result in the gun ‘blowing up’; magazine blows downwards (YouTube has their share of these), and most concerning is the brass shrapnel exiting to the right, out the port.

If you are a right-handed shooter, it will only really scare you; if you are a left handed shooter, the brass is headed for your nose and eyes.  If you are standing off to the right, here come all those little brass shards which can really spoil a weekend at the range.

Another drawback is the unavoidable inaccuracy of the forced reset recoil method of operation which is absent with the smoother bolt carrier/autosear operation of the AK-47.

In semi-auto operation, there is no difference in accuracy of either FRT or AK-47.  Only when they are ‘running’, does this accuracy issue come into play.

With all that said, there is no better time than now for an customers to purchase a jig setup to make their own true select-fire rifles, because neighbor’s ears will no longer be able to perceive which is which.  Authorities will have heard “Wolf” cried too many times.

AK-47 internal replacement parts are also fairly easy to come up with, whereas the FRT’s are proprietary and are only sold as entire drop-in kits.

My guess is when new gun-controllers get involved again, legislators will deem “too may rounds per second” will define the future full auto regardless of the mechanisms used.

This fixture may be lawfully owned by anyone, but ALL NFA RULES APPLY regarding the use of the features incorporated into this product.  You (the purchaser) are solely responsible for how this item is used and I (the seller) shall not be held accountable for any misuse of these drilling jigs by you (the purchaser), whether Class II or not.

Currently I also have a complete 80% AR jig/assembly system, an AR conversion jig, an 80% AR receiver tester, as well as an AK-47/74 Class II jig for the 80% pre-bent and heat treated receivers, an AK scope mount template, an H&K flat template, a semi to select fire jig for existing HK rifles, and a semi to select-fire conversion jig for the SEF trigger pack which does not corrupt a semi auto receiver, a Class II AK-47/74 / Galil conversion jig for semi to full conversion, a Galil 80% jig, a locked slide conversion (for suppressor use) for the GSG 1911-22 and a Ruger 10-22 80% jig (also with locked bolt drill-in locator) on-line now.

Keep in mind that I am an 07 FFL with a Class II SOT (suppressor and machinegun manufacturer) and essentially all other internet vendors of items similar in function/use to my kits are neither licensed FFL’s nor SOT’s.

A shout out to the (4) companies renting autos (made using my AK, AR, and HK-SEF conversion jigs) on the firing line at O.F.A.S.T.S. last summer.  I appreciate all of the accolades, but I sort of wished that you would have stayed at my table a little longer, giving the all-important satisfied customer speeches to all of the passersby.

Also a big thank you to Mike @ O.F.A.S.T.S. for getting me those cut IMI Galil pieces that I used to design my new Galil jig.

These items ready to be shipped on the following business day after receipt of funds.  Some parts included are either “New or Old Testament Scripture Engraved”, if that offends, please purchase another product from another vendor.  My products are made in America, by Americans, for Americans.

Shipping is included via USPS.
